NEW TASK Something To Write Home About; page 3

“Writer's block is a phenomenon involving temporary loss of ability to begin or continue writing, usually due to lack of inspiration or creativity.”

This competition is here to help you in removing that block or just to help you in improving your writing skills.

Each week a task will be set for you to write in under 300 words.  These tasks will range from characterisations to descriptions.
There is no limit to how many people can enter.
Being to do with McFly is not compulsory, but you can use them if you wish.
The task will be posted on a Monday and all entries must be in a thread I will link to by the Friday (do not create a new thread for your entry).  If you would prefer to PM me your entry you may do so.
A winner will be announced by the Sunday and they will be given a graphic saying what they won that week’s task in.
Anyone who wishes feedback on their entry can ask me and I will PM it to you.
Your entry needs to be original and convincing.
    Spelling and grammar is important.

This will begin from Monday 6th July

as I'm not sure if I'll be around much tomorrow i'm posting a task today.

    Task
For this first week the task is taking inspiration from ‘Garbology’ (the study of society by analysing their rubbish).  Create a character and list the items which would be in their bin.  Then write a short passage about them (try and include what they do and some of their hobbies).

Your entry needs to be original and convincing.
Remember, no more than 300 words and it needs to be in by 11pm on Friday.
It doesn't have to be to do with McFly.
If you want any feedback I can PM it to you.
    Spelling and grammar is important.
Post your entries in this thread.
    Good luck

how do you want me to write about this person i've created?
like a story; She stared out the window..
or like a description; Alice used to be shy, but that changed when....
    just examples.

It's up to you.  Whichever you feel will work best to go with the garbology part of this

This is going to be ace. It's deffinatly not what I would normally write, but I can see how helpful it's going to be in terms of characterisation.
