I was making my rounds around the record stores 2 weeks back when I spotted a red-cover RA on the shelf, complete with bonus tracks and the deluxe DVD. Had a McFly spazz haha... This is the first McFly album that isn't an import, they've never really been publicised in the region before. It's been released for almost a month now I wonder why there's been no headsup on here or anywhere else until now It's currently marketed as the "Singapore Deluxe Edition", retailing at about just under 10 pounds.

Tom did mention in his latest tweet about being interviewed in a local paper, I will definitely look out for that  And of course any further news of them touring the region

EDIT: The DVD is not the same as the UK green version DVD (although the cover says it is). Because of some error during the manufacturing the DVD contains the version of Making of R:A that is on the "One For the Radio" single release.

Basically, the covers that were green, blue and pink were for JAPAN ONLY and they DIDN'T have McFly on the cover.

But the R:A that was released here in the UK, had a normal version featuring the DVD and the original green R:A cover with the band on the front and a WOOLWORTHS ONLY version of the album which was a red cover with the band on the front and featured the bonus tracks that the Singapore edition does.

The woolworths only version was only out for a couple of weeks due to them closing down and the Woolworths Only version selling out. So it's good to know that fans can now by that version from Singapore now.

I've got the album like a week ago. the disappointing part was the DVD. the part 2 of the dvd, supposed to be the radio:active shows and all that, but they messed it up with the Making of Radio:ACTIVE from the One for the radio dvd. which means, the dvd in the singapore edition has two making of radio:active, but uncensored and stuffs. thank god i have the green one from the uk.

I did some comparison between the UK deluxe (green), the Woolsworth (red) and the Singapore deluxe (red). For the audio CDs the only difference is the 3 bonus acoustic tracks on the S'pore and Woolsworth editions.

 

Parmy:

For the DVD it seems that all three are supposed to be the same. Unfortunately it seems like Parmy's right, the S'pore edition has only "Down Under with McFly/Making of R:A" and even that seems like a truncated version. It's missing part 2 "On the Road with Mcfly/Promoting R:A". The back cover states otherwise, I suppose they deserve an email or two about this!

Well at least its got the 3 acoustic tracks and the lovely red cover (which doesn't glow in the dark). Does the Woolsworth one glow like the green one?

i am really glad someone finally noticed! i got it like the day it first came out here in Singapore, and immediately went home to watch it. but the DVD part really confused me. I really think everyone of us should contact Warner Music about this because it isn't right for them to put in a different Part two that was labelled otherwise. I've tried contacting them, and I've actually managed to change the DVD portion, thinking it was only my cd that had problems, but I think they probably didn't understand what I meant when I said the two parts of the DVD are similar when it shouldn't be. :/

How did you contact them to change the DVD? Was it through email or phone?

So after you changed it was it still the same or did they put Part 2 "On the Road"  bit in? I think if there's enough noise they'll do a recall or something, not exactly fantastic news for the first local pressing of a McFly album :\

it's best if you call them. I called them and they answered. They don't answer their emails. I've sent two already. :/ But after I changed the DVD, it was the same, so I think that the whole batch that they manufactured is the same... so either they did it wrongly.... or they intended for it to be like that? On the Road is not in the dvd at all. I really want them to do something about it, but I'm only one person, they can just simply dismiss me, y'know?

I think they did it wrongly, since the back cover states that there are both parts on the DVD. It ought to be exactly the same as the UK deluxe (green one).

I'm not too sure about the uncensored actually, maybe I've gotta look closer because I didn't spot any obvious changes. I'm not sure but I suspect the "Making of R:A" might not even be complete. I wonder how they're going to rectify the problem.

 McFly isn't that well known on the region, and the only song I've heard on the radio is "All About You". I don't personally know any other McFly fan around these parts, or how many actually listen to their music. In fact I'm very surprised that they decided officially release R:A here. But now that they've decided to release it the least they can do is to press it correctly. A bit frustrating, this whole issue !

yeah, it's probably wrong, but will they change it? i mean, they will probably have to recall the WHOLE batch they manufactured. :/ you could try calling them! :) I've actually heard Star Girl & Obviously on radio before. But it's really rare and only on request. There are quite a lot of McFly fans here I've found on twitter ahha. :)
